Fire Restriction Update – Town of Arborg

June 26, 2025

The Town of Arborg would like to inform residents that, effective this evening at 8 pm, the burn ban previously in place due to extreme dry conditions will be modified, with specific requirements incorporated to ensure continued community safety.

MODIFIED BURNING GUIDELINES:

  • Burn Permits are required. Please attend the Town of Arborg office at 337 River Road to obtain a permit (at no cost). Office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Burn hours are limited from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
  • No burning is allowed on windy days.
  • All fires must be constantly attended and kept at a safe distance from any structures or vegetation and fully extinguished with water prior to leaving the burn area.
  • A water source or fire suppression tools must be readily available at the site.

These modifications aim to reduce fire risk while allowing for responsible burning practices as weather conditions start to improve.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

Failure to follow these regulations may result in fines and penalties. Our fire department members will continue to monitor for unsafe or unpermitted burning. Please burn responsibly and help us keep our community safe.

A MESSAGE OF THANKS

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all residents for your patience and cooperation throughout the burn ban period. Your commitment to safety helped protect our community during a high-risk fire season.
